ROPES AND LADDERS GAME (BIBLE VERSION)
Prior to the class, the SS teacher reviews a Bible story (e.g. Daniel in the lions den) and prepares a list of questions. The SS class spends some time reading through the story and they are told they will be asked questions. The board game begins with students answering questions. They roll the dice and move along the board. A correct answer earns one ‘safe pass’, and if they land on a rope, they don’t have to slide down. If a student gives a wrong answer, they may consult the Bible to find the correct answer. They can then roll the dice and move along the board, but if they land on a rope, they slide down.
The board can also be used for other bible-based games … bible trivia, books of the bible, etc. The games is played with two dice and tokens.
